Chef Matty went above and beyond for us! His food is unbelievable and he is so talented is many different varieties of cuisine. We had him as our chef for a 17 person (yes, 17) bachlorette and I was blown away with how much incredibly delicious food he cooked for us - we had leftovers for the following two days which was so generous and not expected. ANYONE who needs a private chef in the palm springs area should reach out to Chef Matty and his team!
Chef Matty was incredible!!!! He served us wonderful meals all weekend and they just kept getting better! From breakfast to dinner he created dishes that were not only delicious but beautiful. He would communicate and listen to what guests liked and gave us healthy meal alternatives that never disappointed. Would highly recommend!
II have hired Matt on multiple special occasions while visiting the desert and he’s has knocked it out of the park every single time. Not only is his food top notch, he’s a pretty cool guy to have chefing up meals at your event or special dinner. Highly recommend calling Matt.
I've worked with many caterers over the years involving work, but never had the need for one personally. Our daughter was recently married in Palm Springs, CA, and I needed a caterer. Planning a wedding halfway across the U.S. was stressful enough, and I needed help. I reached out through Thumbtack, and Chef Matty was my only response. He responded in a very timely manner and, after a short consultation of our needs, he presented us with an abundant variety from which to choose. He didn't take my deposit and disappear for the next ten months leading up to the wedding, leaving me to wonder what was ahead, but instead stayed in constant contact with me and made me feel at ease. Because of distance, we were not afforded the luxury of scheduling a taste test ahead of the big event, but we were in no way disappointed. He reached out to me upon our arrival in Palm Springs and confirmed our time for delivery. We even Face Timed so he could have a “tour of the kitchen” of the VRBO we rented. I was helping the bride when he arrived, but he showed up in a timely manner and took control. He put my mind at ease so I could focus on my daughter. I had absolutely no worries! The food was magnificent and beautifully displayed, and guests are still talking about the menu. He cleaned up after and properly stored the leftovers, which were later brought out in the early hours when guests started getting the munchies. Chef Matty made our event spectacular! I have no more weddings to plan in my future, but please give him a call if you do, or even if you just live in the area and need someone to relieve you from the task of cooking for a crowd! He is sure to please!
Food and presentation was well above our expectations. Chef Matty is talented and creative. Looking forward to using him again for our next event. The variety of dishes was what was most impressive.
Chef Matty & team were great! We had a 16 person meal at our house that they did for us. They came, cooked, served and cleaned. His sushi appetizers were an absolute hit. Everyone was raving about those. The steak and risotto were awesome. He even provided a dessert for everyone that was not on the menu. We hired them twice for their sushi experience. We had an amazing female chef that made the most delicious sushi rolls. She was super friendly & would make anything you requested. Afterwards she left the kitchen spotless. We would definitely use them again for a private sushi party!

I don’t usually treat myself to bougie experiences like private chefs, but this one was so worth it. Chef Matty and his team were absolute pros — from planning to plating, everything was seamless. They were referred to us by the concierge of our Palm Springs rental, and from the start, Matty was incredibly responsive and helpful in curating our Mexican-themed menu. There were six of us, and the food was not only delicious but super generous — we even had leftovers for breakfast and lunch! Such a treat to be served and taken care of while relaxing and enjoying time away as a group.
